The EDSA Group® Philosophy

The EDSA Group® believes that employee behavior can be positively influenced through consistent, interactive financial education experiences resulting in a more financially secure, productive, and motivated employee. All of EDSA's educational solutions are interactive in nature and are designed to empower employees to take control of personal finances and plan for financial goals including retirement, educational funding, and special needs.

The History of The EDSA Group®

Since 1984, the founding principals of The EDSA Group, Inc. (who were also principals of two financial consulting firms), had independently developed and instructed financial education workshops for employees of client corporations.

In early 1993, an informal network of credentialed instructors was established to teach a consistent program for companies with multiple locations, using a program called Money 101™. Money 101™ was a workbook developed and licensed to financial professionals in the early 1980s by Cornerstone Financial Consultants, Inc. Money 101™ became the foundation for The EDSA Group’s first financial education program.

In October of 1993, The EDSA Group, Inc. was launched. – EDucational Solutions and Awareness. The concept of providing consistent, effective, and action-driven financial education to corporate employees is the framework of EDSA’s current business structure. This concept is our pledge to client corporations.

In 2003, EDSA expanded its offering by adding a self-study series of materials to meet the changing needs of employers and those individuals who did not have access to workshop financial education.

In 2005, EDSA took this "self-study" concept one step further and added an online educational tool to its repertoire, www.Goodmoneyhabits.com.

Since inception, EDSA's goal has been to provide ongoing education to employees in order to influence their financial behavior, increasing their utility to the employer. EDSA believes (and research has proven) that employee behavior can be positively influenced through interactive financial education experiences, resulting in a workforce that is more financially secure, productive, and motivated.
